1.Training of Graduate Students
The training of graduate students of our Department obey the following rules and objectives: in one hand to fully bring into play the supervision of the director, also to emphasize on the team supervision of the whole computer science, to emphasize on both basis theory and scientific research ability, to let the graduate students not only having good theory stuff, to achieve certain theory level, but also having strong research and development ability, and can take on important task on large and middle projects in later work; to encourage and exert the enthusiasm, initiative, and innovation, to carry out the principle of bring together theory and practicality, to adopt different modes of combining the systematic course learning and scientific research, instructing and discussion, combination of inside-class teaching and outside-class practice, etc., and emphasize on teaching students according to their aptitude, to carry out the strict examine, establish essential filtering system, to ensure the quality of graduate student training.

Subjects learning is the important step for graduate students to grasp stable basis theory and systematic specialized knowledge. The subject learning of graduate students adopts the credit hour system. The dissertation of Master degree is supervised by the supervisor of the student and the supervisor team, independently design and fulfil scientific task, to train the independent scientific research ability during the process. The dissertation of Master degree is the important aspect for training the student conducting scientific research at full aspects, training the students to analyzing and solving problems using their learned knowledge, also the important criterion to evaluate whether the student can gain the degree or not. During the graduate student learning course, normally at least one year is needed to finish the degree dissertation.

2.Training of Ph.D. Students
The Ph.D. student training of our Department emphasizes on training the ability of innovation, management and corresponding, grasp and exploring research direction, etc. The training objectives are to grasp stable basis theory of computer science and systematic and deep specialized knowledge, to have the skilled computer application skill and ability of conducting scientific research, to well grasp a foreign language, to make innovative achievements on theoretical or application fields, and become a high-level specialized personnel to serve the society.

According to the requirement of Ph.D. student training and the requirement of computer subjects, to emphasize integration, keeping ahead, and intercross research direction, to conduct research training and ability cultivating suitably. Ph.D. students need to select and determine the research topic, set up the schedule of scientific research, conducting research work, enhance research training and pass the research assess during the studying stage. The degree thesis of Ph.D. is the main criterion of evaluating the science level of the Ph.D. The Ph.D. students should emphasize on conducting scientific research and writing the degree thesis. The supervisor of Ph.D. candidate of our Department encourage, sustain, and supervise the Ph.D. student to select the research directions and topics which is important or having application value to scientific progress and country economy, and gain the innovative achievements. The thesis of Ph.D. should mainly consist of the certain systematic, deep, and innovative research achievements of the author on conducting research topic. The thesis should reflect that the author has the ability to independently conducting scientific research, and has grasped stable and broad basis theory and systematic and deep specialized knowledge. To ensure the quality of thesis of Ph.D. student, during the learning course, normally at least two years are needed to finish the degree thesis.
