According to the basic objective of Fudan University teaching is to train the high quality personnel with all-powerful stuff, under the guidance of carrying out our university's principles of “generalist education, educated according to genus” and the teaching director of “deep basis, broader specification, emphasizing on capability, and seeking for innovation,” the undergraduate teaching objective and training requirement of computer science are to train the students becoming “composite personnels” to develop in the full aspects of virtue, wisdom, gym, and beauty, to train the students to have good political stuff and moral culture, and can undertake the teaching, research, development, application of the computer science, technology, and application fields.

We require the students to grasp mathematics, physical basis knowledge, and frequently grasp a foreign language, having stable basis theory, basis knowledge and basis experimental skills on computer software and hardware. Also, we require the students have rather deep specialized knowledge and specialized skill on such computer related subjects as computer architecture and computer application technology, etc . We require the students having strong ability of analyzing problem, solving problem, and working independently, adapting to the requirement of the society, and the innovation. The students can have good psychological nature and strong working stuff, and have the ability to renewing the knowledge by self-learning and the potential of self-developing.
