I received a BS in 1993, and a Ph. D in 1998, all in computer science, from the Fudan University of China. Since then, I has been with the department of Department of Computer Science of Fudan University, where I am an associate professor.
My interest includes text retrieval, text filtering, natural language processing, and digital library. In those areas, I am the co-authors of the book of “Large Scale Chinese Processing”. I has also contributed dozens papers about natural language processing and information retrieval.
I has been leading a number of research projects financed by Chinese national agencies such as NSFC (National Science Foundation of China) and 863 (Hi-tech Promotion Project of China), as well as Shanghai municipal government. For the projects currently underway, the two main ones deal with text filtering and web page analysis.
I has been the referees for several journals, including “Journal of Computer Science and Technology”, “Journal of Software”, “Journal of Computer Research and Development”, “Pattern Recognition and Artificial Intelligence”, and “Journal of Chinese Information processing”. I am also a member of ACM.
